The Role of Technology in 21st Technology Education

As for the changing world of today’s the teachers, facilitators and leaders are tend to change the strategy of teaching for the children to educate; create a curriculum that will help students connect with the world and understand the issues that the world faces. In this new era the people are more into technology especially the students that they are more dependent in the so-called “surfing” and some teachers use this kind to be their basis in teaching the lesson. “They let the students to go on surfing and somehow research about the topic that they will discuss the topic in the classroom or make an output out of it” this technique also called student-centered learning. This kind of technique does not replace the teacher or the traditional teacher but it helps the students to be more independent on how to organize their ideas in managing their learning and to learn in some ways too.
Schools in the 21st century will become nerve centers, a place for teachers and students to connect with those around them and their community. Teachers in this new environment will become fewer instructors and more orchestrators of information, giving children the ability to turn knowledge into wisdom. In order to educate in the 21st century, teachers and administrators need to cultivate and maintain the student's interest in the material by showing how this knowledge applies in the real world. They must also try to increase their student's curiosity, which will help them become lifelong learners that they should be flexible with how they teach and give learners the resources to continue learning outside the school campus.
